Two things worth trying first

Log out and back in once after installing. macOS registers Quick Look extensions at login, and a fresh install sometimes waits for that.
Check System Settings › General › Login Items & Extensions › Quick Look and confirm Meshlook is enabled.

Your macOS version and whether the Mac is Apple silicon or Intel.
The file that failed — format, rough size, and where it came from (which CAD, slicer or store).
Where the preview was missing: Finder thumbnail, Quick Look, or both.
Whether the file sits on the internal disk, an external drive, a network share, or a cloud folder.
